About a month ago I met the lovely librarian Marie at the Grayslake Lib. where I was doing a show. She mentioned she had some really fun family recipes, and I said I'd love to see them. One was for this Orange Slice Cake from her Mother-in-law, which she said was like "Fruitcake with an Attitude." She's also included Poppy Seed Cake here - enjoy!
Yesterday my older son turned 8 - it really is amazing to see him now as such a big boy. We went to the Brookfield Zoo and ate lots of unhealthy things, which will astonish all of you...
