What is is about potholder looms that brings out the nostalgia in so many people? I've had many folks ask me at my retro crafting workshops if we could make these. I too remember these as one of the first crafts I did, one that turned out well with little effort. Apparently there are different things you can do with it, too - check out the shawl below - that artist's website also has hat patterns and more.
If you are unfamiliar with the potholder looms, you put stretchy loops across on hooks then use your fingers or a hook to weave loops crosswise. The binding is very easy as well, drawing loops through each other.
So I'm pricing looms for my Mitts and Trivets shows along with the retro crafting workshops. EBay and Amazon have the looms as well as the loops. Anyone still have theirs?

We have half a dozen or a dozen of them in our craft cupboard at the library. Thanks for reminding me. We can use them during our Wild Highland Games this summer - tartan weaving!
No caber toss?
