Handwritten Recipe Wednesdays: Peach Cobbler and Sour Cream Peach Cake

One of these is really a clipping, but both sounded so good I couldn't resist!

The Peach Cobbler one is pretty faint - perhaps it was used a lot!
Peach Cobbler
Melt 1 stick oleo
1 C sugar
3/4 C milk
1 C flour
1 1/2 tsp. B. Powder

Peaches (no amount - likely to fill the pan)
1 1/2 C sugar (likely to mix with peaches)
Bake 375F 30 min.
The dough part must go on top of the fruit. I love cobblers. It's like an easier form of making pies for me, or a cross between a cake and a pie...

In the same box were several peach recipes. Here is a Betty Crocker clipping for Sour Cream Peach Cake
1 package Betty Crocker Sunkist orange cake mix (there has to be something similar available)
1 can (21 oz.) peach pie filling
1/2 cup dairy sour cream
2 eggs
Heat oven to 350F .  Mix all ingredients in ungreased oblong pan, 13x9x2 inches, with fork scraping corners frequently, until moistened.  Stir batter vigorously with fork 1 minute, scrape sides with rubber spatula.  Spread batter evenly in pan.  Bake until top springs back when touched lightly in center, 40 to 45 minutes.  Cool.  Loosen cake from sides, cut and serve directly from pan.  Store any remaining cake loosely covered in refrigerator.
