Prune Spoon-Up
Molly didn't believe that I have Prune Shake Recipes. Now for the Prune-Off I'll send her a selection, including this one and the one I did last Sunday, and she can choose what to make. I doubt it will be this Prune Spoon-Up from the Good Housekeeping's Book of Ice Creams and Cool Drinks, from 1958.
1 cup pitted, cooked prunes
1 cup cold milk
1 cup crushed ice
In electric blender, combine all ingredients. Blend about 30 sec., or until smooth. Serve at once in glasses, with spoons. Makes 2 or 3 servings.
Wow. Oddly enough I am not finding photos of many prune dishes in my cookbooks - I wonder why?
I packed a lot of books, and downloaded more too. I'll write up favorites soon.
