Handwritten Recipe Wednesday: Lemon Velvet Ice Cream

It's sweltering here in Chicagoland and our air conditioning went out last night.  I may have mentioned my house if pretty vintage and sometimes that is not a good thing. So here I found I nice cool recipe for today from one of my collected handwritten recipe boxes. Enjoy!

Lemon Velvet Ice Cream
2 C sugar
2 lemons (juice)
2 cup milk
2 cups cream
Pour lemon juice over sugar and let stand.  Scald milk, cool, add cream. Add lemon & sugar. Slowly stirring constantly. Freeze immediately.

Yum. I'd love to eat some now. Then bathe in it.
